NPP Trade Union projects workers’, SPOs’ problems

JAMMU, Apr 19: National Panthers Party’s Trade Union projected the problems of the employees, SPOs, Home Guards and daily rated workers of various departments agitating since long.
In a meeting of the Union held here today under the chairmanship of Daljit Singh here today, the speakers expressed concern over the attitude of the Government towards the problems of the employees and workers agitating since long. They said even the SPOs, Home Guards, REZ, RETs and daily rated workers have been fighting for justice but the Government has shown just cold shoulder to them. The Union members accorded full support to these agitating workers, employees and others. They said the Agriculture Technocrats be given their dues.
Mr Singh demanded that industrial units operating in State with the investment from outside should provide 80-90% employment to the local youth. He said the Government must ensure that locals get maximum benefit of the job opportunities in these units. The Government should take action against such units violating the agreement, he maintained.
