JAMMU, Sept 21: Enraged over the flip flop of the Union Govt and the wavering resolves of the helmsmen in the wake of Uri attack, women activities of the National Panthers Party (NPP) led by Manju Singh and Kesar Parveen, senior leaders held a protest demonstration against the Union Govt showing bangles to the ministers.
The protestors raised slogans against Pakistan for promoting terrorism on Indian soil and against the Central Govt for its flawed diplomacy and failures to protect its citizens and restore peace and security in the State. They also raised slogans against PM Modi and his Council of Ministers and offered them bangles resenting their failure to respond appropriately to Pak terror. They took out a procession from Press Club to Tawi Bridge and blocked road resulting in suspension of vehicular traffic for some time. Addressing the women workers Manju Singh described the attack on Army camp which killed 18 soldiers, as cowardly act on the part of Pakistan. She said that Pakistan had stepped up its nefarious activities during the last two years with increased support to separatist and anti- nationals in Kashmir and by pushing in indoctrinated traitors across the LoC and IB. She said that the appeasement policy pursued by the Centre had largely emboldened the anti- national forces in the Valley.
Asserting that anti- national movement in Kashmir gained momentum during BJP rule, the NPP leader said that militants support base had widened with Pak appeal having increased manifold. She said that BJP rule witnessed escalation in militancy related incidents in the Kashmir, large scale border incursions and infiltrations, countless pro- freedom rallies, spurt in incidents of waving of Pak flags and ISIS flags besides dishonor of national flag.
Advocate Kesar Parveen said that Union Govt ought to launch a full throttle campaign against Pakistan’s acts of war in Kashmir and its overt and covert support to terrorism on our soils. She said that India further needed to seriously take up the issue of declaration of Pakistan as a terrorist state and imposition of worldwide sanctions against this rogue state. She lambasted the highly defensive approach of the Central BJP leadership.
