POONCH, Oct 17:  Vigorously disseminating the message of nationalism, brotherhood and peace,  NPP took out  ‘ Vilay Divas (Accession Day) Rally’ from  Poonch today.
The rally consisting of scores of bikes, party activists including women, youth and senior citizens carrying  `Tricolour’ in their hands spearheaded by  Balwant Singh Mankotia,  State president along with other leaders started from Dak Bungalow Poonch and after passing from several markets, lanes and streets culminated at Bus Stand Poonch where the party leaders addressed the gathering.
Mr Mankotia while addressing the gathering said that Panthers Party had decided to hold district wise rallies to celebrate Accession Day of the State of Jammu & Kashmir with the Union of India which falls on October 27. He disclosed that on of October 27, 1947 the Instrument of Accession signed by Maharaja Hari Singh was accepted by then Governor General of India Lord Mount Batten and subsequently J&K became integral part of the country.
He said certain anti- national elements were hell bent to vitiate the peace and tranquility of the State on the behest of belligerent Pakistan but Panthers Party shall always unveil the nefarious designs of the enemy and the secessionist forces in the interest of the Nation and the people. He said that J&K was, is and shall remain an integral part of India and no power on earth can separate the State from the country.
Asserting that all the parties including Congress, NC and PDP had failed to fulfill the aspirations of the people of Jammu region, he adjured the people of Poonch to strengthen and empower NPP so that the issues of the people were projected and fought with letter and spirit.
Zorawar Singh Shahbaaz, State Secy  NPP and   Ashfaq  Rana  District president NPP (Poonch) appealed to the people to maintain unity and mutual brotherhood at all costs for keeping the secular character of the region intact and alive.
Sheikh Mohd Saleem, Gagan  Pratap Singh, Ram Singh, Surjeet Singh, Gurjeet Kaur, Gagandeep Kaur and Safina Bi also accompanied.
