NPSU accuses BJP-PDP Govt of making SIC defunct

JAMMU, Nov 18: National Panthers Students Union (NPSU) has held the PDP-BJP coalition Government responsible for rendering the State Information Commission defunct.
Talking to media persons at the party headquarters, here today, the NPSU State president, Thakur Varinder Singh said that various social organization and political parties were making the Government aware about filling up of vacant posts at SIC for the last six months but no action was taken in this regard.
“On one hand, the BJP – PDP alliance promised a lot to fight against corruption and on other, this Government turned blind eye on very sensitive issue like vacant post at State Information Commission,” he said and asked the Deputy Chief Minister to clear his stand on this issue. “Let the people know why they (BJP) are silent on this issue and why no imitative was taken to preserve SIC,” he further said and threatened to launch massive agitation by NPSU against State Government over the issue.
Lovely Singh, Iftkar Chowdahry, Shubam Jasrotia, Summit Sigh and Shubam Chark accompanied Varinder Singh, during the press conference.
