JAMMU, Feb 18 National Panthers Students Union (NPSU) activists today celebrated its 30th foundation anniversary by organizing a function at Press Club Jammu.
On the occasion, 84 NPSU activists were presented `Student Pride Award’ by the JKNPP top brass while the NPSU State president Partap Singh Jamwal and other student leaders took a pledge for supporting every needy person.
Chairman JKNPP Harshdev Singh, in his address, reminded the students of the unparalleled sacrifices of Prof Bhim Singh as a student leader. He termed Bhim Singh as a symbol of revolution, commitment to the public cause and change that is why the intellectuals all over the world identified him with Che Guevara of Latin Amercia and Yasir Arafat of Palestine.
Balwant Singh Mankotia, NPP president gave a call to the students to join NPSU which is the only genuine, fearless and committed representative body of the students.
Prof Bhim Singh appealed the students to get the honour of being a member of the NPSU which stands for ultimate revolution to destroy all forms of discriminations and all evils in the society, may they be, corruption, communalism, criminalization or drug menace.
He asked the students to make this Ultimate Revolution a success with the power of thought and ballot. “You should exercise your talent and commitment to the human cause through the Facebook, Twitter, blog and RTI,” he explained.
