JAMMU, Jan 22: Raj Pratap Singh, Provincial President, National Panthers Students Union, Jammu province has demanded mass promotion to Jammu students on the analogy of Kashmir.
“While the college students of Kashmir have been given mass promotion because of Corona pandemic, it is strange to find the students of Jammu region being denied the same concession thus adopting different set of norms within the same Union Territory,” he said, in a statement.
Maintaining that Jammu students have undergone similar problems and encountered even more severe difficulties during the Corona period as compared to their Kashmir counterparts, Raj Pratap Singh said it was shocking that even students were being treated differently on the basis of region and place of residence.
The NPSU leader threatened a region wide agitation in case the Govt fails to provide justice to the Jammu students who were seeking parity with their Kashmir peers.
