JAMMU, Jan 18: Dr Vikas Sharma, President National Secular Forum (NSF) today demanded restoration of 4G mobile internet service in J&K.
He accused the Government of dual standard and said that on the one hand BJP regime claims that security conditions have improved while on the other hand, the ban on mobile internet is being continued on the pretext of security issue.
Expressing his anguish over piece meal extension of 2G net work on weeks basis, Dr. Vikas said that such an erratic way of extending 2G and denying 4G network for months together is subjecting the consumers to a great avoidable torture making their life miserable in the present era of network despite normal security scenario and revocation of Art 370.
“Since the Lt Governor JK UT is already aware of this problem of people in Jammu Kashmir and needs no much reiteration, we appeal the Government to immediately restore 4G mobile network facility without further delay for the people here, especially students,” he said.
