NSF delegation calls on JU VC

JAMMU, June 11: A delegation of National Secular Forum (NSF) today called on Vice Chancellor Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar and presented him a memorandum demanding probe into alleged  irregularities in The Business School and removal of `incompetent’ officers from top administrative posts in the university.
In the memorandum, NSF gave the instances of irregularities in The Business Schools and explained the alleged role of Director TBS in encouraging favouritism, nepotism and corruption.
The VC was particularly apprised of irregularities in MBA admissions, placement process and alleged misuse of The Business School Convention Hall.
The NSF also sought to know the reason behind elevation of Prof Manoj K Dhar as Registrar who was responsible for unprecedented delay in declaration of results during his tenure as Controller Examination.
After giving a patient hearing to the deputation, the Vice Chancellor agreed to constitute a three member committee to investigate all the allegations against Director TBS, claimed a handout issued by the NSF. Expressing his faith in sincerity and efficiency of Prof Manoj Dhar, the VC also assured to remove the new Registrar in case he fails to deliver, the NSF handout added.
The NSF delegation comprised of Surjit Choudhary, Sukhdev Singh, Akshey Sharma, Vikram Madhya, Qayoom Malik, Sunil Kumar, Barket Tahir and others.
