JAMMU, May 31: National Secular Forum (NSF) has demanded CBI probe into alleged financial irregularities in Central University Jammu.
Flaying CUJ authorities for delaying tactics over a complaint filed against one Asstt Professor and virtually sleeping over a serious matter of financial irregularities, Dr Vikas Sharma, President NSF alleged irregularities in payments and financial scam committed by one Assistant Professor in the projects being handled by him.
“Being the blue-eyed of the Vice-Chancellor, this Asst Professor has got 28 projects, out of total 29 projects of a Department even as he does not belong to the said department but has been given concurrent position to hoodwink other faculty members within the University as well as the funding agencies,” Vikas said.
The NSF president appealed MHRD to order high level enquiry by the CBI to find out as to how projects of more than two crores were directly given to blue eyed Assistant Professor and how he being the Junior most faculty member was appointed nodal officer for the Rs 1.85 crore vocational courses project by sidelining the other senior faculty in the department.
