JAMMU, June 13: While reiterating its demand for establishing separate Public Service Commission (PSC) for Jammu region, the National Secular Forum (NSF) today demanded independent audit of selections made by the Commission in the light of glaring instances of biased approach towards candidates from Jammu, and also sought registration of FIR against all those involved in forging of the policy documents of this recruiting agency.
Addressing a press conference here today, NSF State chief Dr Vikas Sharma questioned the stoic silence maintained by the BJP Ministers and MLAs over the grave issue and said that their stance was totally against the interests of Jammu and would cost the region dearly in future if the corrective steps are not initiated at the earliest. He alleged that the PSC authorities were adopting biased approach towards candidates from Jammu region in selections for posts in various Government departments and alleged that a well-knit nexus was working there since long.
“It is open secret that Government’s own Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) has established forgery of policy documents of the Commission by some of its officers in connivance with some Members and hence there is a need to conduct an independent audit of all the selections made so far by the Commission to unearth the scam,” he demanded.
Shockingly, he added, neither FIR has been registered on the basis of explicit report of the FSL nor any enquiry was initiated despite the fact that Chairman as well as all the Members were apprised of the same thereby establishing that attempts are being made to shield all those involved in the criminal offence.
“The forgery of policy documents has substantiated the general perception that all is not well in the PSC and unless the manpower deployed in this major recruiting agency is changed things are not going to improve and biased approach in selections will continue”, he remarked.
Reiterating the demand of separate PSC for Jammu region, the NSF leader threatened to launch an agitation in this regard and also knock the doors of Judiciary for securing justice for the youth of Jammu region.
