NSF pays tribute to Ram Prasad Bismil on birth anniversary

JAMMU, June 12: On 126th birth anniversary of freedom fighter Ram Prasad Bismil, who laid his life for the country, National Secular Forum (NSF), Jammu University unit, today paid him rich tributes.
A programme in this connection was organized on JU Campus wherein Dr Vikas Sharma, Coordinator Jammu District (Urban) and Zonal Secretary JKNC was the chief guest while T R Sharma presided over the event. Dr Sukhdev Singh, State President NSF was the guest of honour.
The activists of NSF paid tribute to Ram Prasad Bismil and garlanded the portrait of the freedom fighter, who laid down his life for the sake of the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Vikas Sharma threw light on the life history of Ram Prasad Bismil and appreciated the efforts of NSF and appealed to the youth to come forward to eliminate all evils from the society.
TR Sharma stressed upon the youth to shun their self-centered outlook and contribute in the development of the nation. Sukhdev Singh said that sacrifices of such great people could not be ignored.
Other, who spoke on the occasion, included Roshan Sharma, Vikshay Vashist, Sumit Giri, Narinder Singh, Abhishek Uppal, Aditya Khajuria, Tufail Reyaz Khan, Punnet Bakshi, Aditiya Sharma and Ankush Babu.
