NSF pays tribute to Shyamji Krishna Varma on 95th death anniversary

JAMMU, Mar 30: National Secular Forum (NSF) today paid tribute to freedom fighter Shyamji Krishna Varma on his 95th death anniversary.
In this connection, NSF organized a simple function at Jammu University Campus and remembered Shyamji. Dr Vikas Sharma, Coordinator Jammu District of NSF and Zonal Secretary JKNC was the chief guest while Dr Sukhdev Singh, State President NSF presided over the function and Vikshay Vashist, State Secretary NSF, was the guest of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Vikas Sharma appreciated the initiative taken by the University unit of NSF to remember those who have contributed for the country. He threw light on the life and sacrifices of Shyamji Krishna Varma – an Indian revolutionary fighter, a patriot, lawyer and journalist who founded the Indian Home Rule Society, India House and the Indian Sociologist in London. In 1905, Shyamji focused his activity as a political propagandist and organiser for the complete independence of India.
Dr Sukhdev Singh, Vikshay Vashist, Abhishek Uppal, Gourav Partap Singh and others also spoke on the occasion.
