JAMMU, Sept 15: Seeking tough measures against separatists and their supporters in Jammu and Kashmir, National Secular Forum (NSF) held a protest demonstration near MAM PG College, here today.
The protesting NSF activists also flayed the Coalition Government for being soft towards anti-national elements, especially Hurriyat Conference, which is responsible for the prolonged tension among the communities throughout the State. Led by NSF president Dr Vikas Sharma, they also torched an effigy of Pakistan.
While addressing NSF activists, Dr Vikas Sharma accused Hurriyat Conference of  inciting violence in the Valley for past over two months and alleged that PDP-BJP coalition Government in the State as well as BJP led Government in Centre were peddling soft on these anti national elements. “The State has been facing unrest for consecutive 69 days for now but instead of taking stringent measures against the anti national elements, the Government is busy in lip service only”, he said and demanded immediate withdrawal of security as well as other privileges to separatists.
