JAMMU, Nov 28: A delegation of National Secular Forum (NSF) visited Central University of Jammu (CUJ) and handed over memorandum of demands to the Vice Chancellor Prof Ashok Aima.
The delegation, led by State president Dr Vikas Sharma, apprised the VC about several demands such as change in timing of the University Bus service from 4.40 PM to 4.00 PM for the convenience of the students, internet facility in Girls Hostel, conducting excursion trip of the departments, which had not done the same for the last three years.
The NSF also demanded Internet facility to UG students and other students of the Temporary Academic Block, Inter-University Sports Meet, extending University Bus service upto Vijaypur from the Temporary Academic Block, facility for Volleyball Court, establishment of full-fledged Health Centre in the campus, hygienic canteen, provision of gymnasium, ban on plastic bags in campus and more placements to students in different corporation. The delegation demanded that the interviews for all the advertised posts should be held immediately.
Responding to the issues, raised by the delegation, Vice Chancellor assured NSF activists that all their demands would be fulfilled within a short period of time.
The NSF delegation comprised of Papinder Singh, Neeraj Dabgotra, Deepak Seyal, Tahir Qureshi, Charanpreet Kour, Shakeel, Sajad Bali, Rubina and others.
