NSF urges VC to enhance MEd seats in DDE

JAMMU, Nov 8: A delegation of National Secular Forum (NSF) today called on Jammu University Vice Chancellor, Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar and presented a memorandum of demands.
The delegation urged the VC to enhance MEd seats in the Directorate of Distance Education for accommodating more students of Jammu division.
The delegation also urged that the posts of Teaching and Non-Teaching in all the campuses, lying vacant for the past 5-10 years, should be filled immediately.
Sukhdev Singh, who was heading the delegation, said that the interviews for all the advertised posts should be held immediately while latest rules and regulations   are followed in the selection procedures of the Assistant Professors and other permanent staff.
The NSF delegation also stressed on solving the problems of students and boarder of all the Hostels including   Girls and Boys   on priority basis.
Responding to the issues, raised by the delegation, Vice Chancellor assured NSF activists that all their demands will be fulfilled within a short period of time.
Among those who were part of delegation included, Vikram Madhyal, Qayoom Malik, Sanjeev Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Barket Ali,  and others.
