JAMMU, Nov 28: BJP executive member Raman Suri said that deployment of elite National Security Guard (NSG) commandos in Jammu region by the Union Home Ministry will strengthen the Government’s anti-terror operations and help wipe out terrorism from the Union Territory (UT) completely.
In a statement, he said that the establishment of a permanent NSG hub in Jammu city will enable swift deployment of commandos in emergency situations. The Jammu hub ensures that commandos can now respond within critical timeframes, significantly enhancing operational efficiency, he added.
“Over recent years, districts such as Kathua, Doda, Kishtwar, Rajouri, and Poonch have witnessed a surge in terror attacks and by deploying the NSG in Jammu and Kashmir, the Government aims to address these challenges comprehensively which deserves applause,” said the BJP leader.
Maintaining that this deployment reflects the Centre’s unwavering commitment to maintaining law and order in Jammu and Kashmir, Raman Suri said that with this move, people are confident that every possible step will be taken to combat terrorism and secure the lives of citizens.
