NSUI asks JU to keep B Ed course for one year

JAMMU, June 11: Accusing the Coalition Government of being discriminatory against Jammu in education policies also, the National Student’s Union of India (NSUI) has demanded the two years B Ed course should not be introduced in Jammu University till the same programme is implemented in all universities of the State
Addressing a press conference, NSUI State general secretary Avijot Singh sought to know that how two universities in a State having same Chancellor could adopt different policies regarding the same course. “The Government is triggering the system towards chaos by changing the B Ed programme in Jammu University to two years but keeping the same course in Kashmir University unchanged and for one year,” he said
State president NSUI, Neeraj Kundan alleged that the Government was discriminating against Jammu in all spheres, whether it is the issues of Education or AIIMS.
NSUI warned that if the JU does not revoke its decision on the two year B Ed course, the students would have no option other than to take to streets.
