JAMMU, May 29: NSUI has demanded mass promotion of all students of J&K as already announced by the Kashmir University for the same.
While addressing a press conference, here today, J&K NSUI leader Sunny Parihar said that taking exams on basis of online classes was injustice with Jammu students.
“J&K is under digital lockdown for the last 10 months as online classes on 2G conducted by universities and colleges are mere formality and nothing. Therefore, there should be cancellation of all examination and students must be promoted like IIT Kanpur, Bombay, and Kashmir University,” he said.
Ajay Lakhotra, NSUI activist from University of Jammu, said that internet was the biggest problem but there was also a fear of pandemic outbreak. “Many students belong to Kashmir, Poonch, Doda and even to other States also. So there will be danger of COVID-19,” he said, adding that the Corona cases are increasing day by day but colleges and universities are interested in taking exams without any care of students.
