NSUI demands postponement of Medical exams

JAMMU, June 10: NSUI national president Neeraj Kundan today held an online meeting with the Union Health Minister Harshvardhan and sought postponement of examinations in Medical colleges in Jammu and Kashmir, because of COVID-19 pandemic.
The NSUI president explained the Union Minister that conducting examinations at this time was not advisable as some Medical students have tested Corona positive. He appealed that examinations of first and second year should be postponed even as the final year exams could be conducted with all the essential measures taken in view of the pandemic.
Dr Harshvardhan assured that he would look into the matter and issue necessary instructions for the required changes too. The Minister also asked Neeraj Kundan to submit a written recommendations in this regard and assured that he would forward the same to the Lt Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.
