JAMMU, May 25: Jammu University unit of NSUI today highlighted issues being faced by the students regarding CUET PG, which is scheduled to be held from June 5 to June 12.
While talking to media persons, here today, NSUI Jammu University President Jatin Dogra said that there is clash of date between CUET and UG 6th semester examination.
“It will be impossible for students to appear for both the examinations at same time as many centers of examination are outside Jammu. As Temporary centres for examination were also established only in Kashmir and Government ignored Jammu division in this matter also, so Government should also take it in cognizance and care about students of Jammu too,” he said.
Jatin further said that students are in a dilemma whether they should prepare for the CUET or UG 6th semester exam at the same time. Students are feeling mentally tortured by University of Jammu which has not taken cognizance of the matter despite being well aware of the facts, he said and threatened that if this issue is not resolved soon, NSUI will take to the streets for the demands of students.
NSUI JU Vice President Salik Ali said that students were also facing issues as the university covered a 6-month semester in just 2 months, and now students are facing trouble in their exams . This will impact their exam performance and the university must resolve this matter in a day or two, he stressed.
Salik also said that some colleges have not yet completed their syllabus, but on the other hand exams are being conducted. The university should take note of this and ensure that exams are conducted properly so that students do not face any issues in CUET.
