JAMMU, Oct 11: National Student Union of India (NSUI) today launched a State wide membership drive for the current academic year to strengthen the organization.
The drive was formally launched from the Congress Headquarter Jammu, under the leadership of NSUI State president Raqeeq Ahmed Khan who said that they were looking forward to infuse new blood into the organization through this membership drive.
NSUI chief said those active members are strength and backbone of the organization. “NSUI is here to strengthen each and every student who believes in positive and welfare politics for the student community. Our doors are open for every students activist who believes in the ideology of Congress party,” he added and claimed that Indian National Congress is the only party which provides students an opportunity to grow as politician and proves their mettles.
Vikas Badhoria, State general secretary NSUI, said that State unit would maximize its membership and would also help Congress party ascertain the mindset of the youths with their novel initiative called students manifesto
Mohd Yaseen, State general secretary NSUI, stressed upon the student leaders to raise the issue of common students and create an atmosphere of debates and discussion in university and colleges.
Others, who were present on the occasion, included Basharat Latif, Akasha Sharma, Moshin Malik, Momin Malik, Rohit Singh, Gazalla Noor, Sonia Sharma, Radhika Singh, Anuj Manahas, Satish Sharma and Akshay Bhagat.
