BHADERWAH: July 15: Criticizing the State Government and Jammu University over the issue of 2- year B Ed course, the NSUI activists held a protest demonstration at GDC Bhaderwah.
Led by State secretary Umar Jan Wani, the NSUI activists raised slogans and also torched an effigy of the coalition Government in Jammu and Kashmir.
While addressing the gathering, Umar Jan Wani alleged that the Government was taking the present education system towards a chaos by adopting different yardsticks for same course in twin universities of the State having same Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor and the Department of Higher Education. He also accused the Government of discriminating with Jammu as the eligibility marks for B Ed programme in Kashmir University is less than in comparison to Jammu University’s same course.
The NSUI warned to intensify protests if the Jammu University does not roll back its decision on enhancing the B Ed course duration.
Others, who addressed the NSUI activists, included Amit Kumar, Riaz Ahmed, Adil Bhat, Muzaffar Jung, Sunil Kumar and Maroof Butt.
