NSYF submits memo to LG

JAMMU, Jan 21: NSYF– a wing of All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organizations today submitted a memorandum of demands of SC/ST/OBC youth of J&K to Lt Governor Manoj Sinha.
Through the memorandum, major issues faced by the SC/ST/OBC youth of J&K including pending backlog cases of 1.04 lakh, multiple fees for single post, rules regarding age relaxation and reservation in JKSRLM/UMEED were highlighted.
Later, a UT level meeting was also organised by NSYF body under the leadership of Dr Sameer Choudhary of NSYF which was chaired by R K Kalsotra, UT president, All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organizations J&K.
The meeting which was attended by a number of active leaders from different parts of Jammu and Kashmir, announced that NSYF will organize virtual protest on January 24 demanding the Government of J&K to clear pending backlog, implement Central Government norms in application form fees in JKPSC and JKSSB, provide age relaxation in JKPSC and reservation in JKSRLM/UMEED.
In the meeting, Dr Sameer Choudhary (J&K Head, NSYF) appealed the SC, ST, OBC community to actively participate in the protest.
