NTUF declares Dec 21 protest programme

JAMMU, Dec 19:  The J&K National Trade Union front (NTUF) has announced its protest programme at all the district headquarters in support of employees’ demands on December 21.
Talking to media-persons here today, president of the Front, Mohd Gafoor Dar alleged that Coalition Government led by National Conference has miserably failed to honour its commitment and address the pending issues of the State employees. Despite written assurances, the pending demands of the employees could not be addressed.
Mr Dar declared that NTUF activists would observe protest demonstrations at all the district headquarters in the State on December 21 to press the State Government for immediate implementation of  agreement reached with the employees representatives with regard to the employees’ demands.  He said that Government must accept the demands like removal of pay anomalies of clerical and other cadre, framing of regularization policy, enhance retirement age of employees from 58 to 60 years, release of 10 % DA installment, release of pending wages etc.
The trade union leader said that after staging protest at all the district headquarters, the Front members would submit memorandum to the respective DCs for the Government. Rajinder Kumar and Nazir Ahmed Molvi also spoke on the occasion.
