DODA, Apr 10: Police here today in collaboration with National Sarazi Bhaderwahi Society Doda, organized a Nukkad Natak (street play) at old bus stand Doda City as part of ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ campaign aimed at eradicating drug abuse.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta said the initiative was to educate public, especially youth, about ill effects of drug addiction.
The Nukkad Natak was organized on the directions of SSP Doda and under the supervision of Dy.SP DAR Doda, Adil Rishu.
Students of Police Public School Doda performed in the play.
The programme was witnessed by hundreds of members of civil society, businessmen and a large number of inhabitants of the city and they appreciated Doda Police for conducting such awareness programme.
Additional SP Hqrs Doda, Shakeel Rehman, Dy.SP Hqrs Doda, Ajay Anand, SHO Police Station Doda and staff of Police Public School Doda were also present on the occasion.
The participants were awarded with certificate of participation and mementoes by SSP Doda.
