RAMBAN, Aug 18: A numberdar was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Khowda area tehsil Khari, here today.
As per police sources, a numberdar identified as Ghulam Mohammad Naike (40), son of Abdul Rehman Naike was found unconscious in Mahu nallah near his house in Khowda area tehsil Khari.
He was rushed to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Khari where doctors declared him as brought dead.
After completing medical and legal formalities at SDH Banihal, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC has been initiated by Khari Police in this regard.
