JAMMU, May 24: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) today said that during last four years numerous schemes for the welfare of all sections of the society, including women folk, have been launched by the Narendra Modi Government.
Addressing a gathering of women activists of the party at Kachhi Chawni office, BJP Jammu district president, Baldev Billawaria, said that most of the schemes launched by the Modi Government in last four years are for welfare of the women folk so it is the duty of every woman worker of the party to highlight these schemes so that that poor and deserving women can avail their benefits.
He asked all women workers to participate in large number in a programme being organized by the party at Pandit Premnath Dogra Bhawan, Kacchi Chawani, Jammu, on the completion of Modi Government’s four years.
BJP Mahila Morcha, Jammu district president, Rekha Mahajan, while speaking on the occasion, said that BJP has all along stood for the empowerment of women and Modi Government has undertaken a number of initiatives to ensure socio-economic welfare of women. “When the Government is doing so much for women, it becomes imperative on part of all of us to go to public and educate our sisters about these schemes”, she added.
District general secretaries, Vinay Gupta and Savita Anand also spoke on the occasion. Also present on the occasion were Mahila Morcha district Jammu team along with Mandal presidents, Rekha Chouhan, Vidushi Chouhan and Anita Gupta.
