JAMMU, Oct 26: Nupur Sandhu represented India at the prestigious Literary Festival of Autumn, Yalta, in Russia.
More than 700 writers, poets and authors from all over the world participated in the festival. Nupur spoke about the bond between the two countries at the opening ceremony, which was followed by Indian National Anthem.
Nupur’s fourth book `NUMI; The Guarded Loop’ was discussed there and she won in two competitions , poetry from her book and also for her writing style.
President of the festival Andrej Chekhov spoke about the literary and cultural ties between Russia and India from the times of Raj Kapoor’s films.
This four- day festival gave Nupur an experience of her life time. Her book now will soon be coming in Russian language as promised by the President of the festival Andrej Chekhov. The pre order for it has already been placed by the Director of Khimki Museum Maria Somanita.
Tatiana, Irina and Alexander Melnikov are translators of the book. She will also be helping them in translations of couple of books.
