RAJOURI, May 27: A staff nurse posted in GMC Rajouri was killed in a car accident in Chingus area late this evening while a youth died in tractor accident in Manjakote area of Rajouri district today.
Official sources said that a staff nurse posted in Rajouri GMC died in a road accident on Friday evening in Chings area on the Rajouri- Jammu highway. Police said Saima Malik, a staff nurse posted in Rajouri GMC, resident of Chandak village of Poonch district, who was presently residing in Ban Talab, Jammu, was going from Rajouri to Jammu in her private car on Friday.
On the way in Chingus area, she lost her control and the car fell into a gorge near a bridge. Local people with the help of police shifted the injured nurse to GMC Rajouri where doctors declared her as brought dead. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
Meanwhile, a youth was killed after a tractor met with an accident at Dabrote hamlet in Manjakote area this morning. The victim was ploughing the field when the mishap took place. The deceased was later identified as Mohd Aftar (30), son of Mohd Razaq, resident of Galhuti village in Manjakote. The body was shifted to SDH Mankajote by police.
