SRINAGAR, Mar 10: A nurse in her late thirties was today found dead at her rented accommodation in Soura area of Srinagar.
The nurse, hailing from Verinag area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district was found unconscious at her rented accommodation at Soura Srinagar.
The officials said that the police have recovered the body of the deceased, who was working as a nurse at a private hospital here.
Soon after the information was received, a team of police rushed to the spot and took the body into its custody for further formalities. It was also said that there were no injury marks on her body.
The police said that the body has been taken to a hospital for medico-legal formalities including the post-mortem.
The deceased has been identified as Aafroza Akhtar wife of Rouf Ahmad Shah resident of Thamankoot, Verinag in Anantnag district.
A police officer said that apparently, the nurse has died due to cardiac arrest. “Further investigations have been set in motion to ascertain the actual cause of the death of the nurse”, he said.
