RAJOURI, Apr 28: Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University has been accorded approval from Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi to commence B Sc Nursing from the coming academic session 2016-17 through its Nursing College at Rajouri.
The process for seeking approval from Indian Nursing Council was taken up on fast track and the proposal was submitted in a record period of 11 days. Senior officers of the University submitted the proposal to the Indian Nursing Council in December 2015. Thereafter, in March 2016, a high level team of the Indian Nursing Council inspected the facilities available at the Campus including buildings, laboratories, Library, hostels, sports and other infrastructure facilities. The inspection continued for two days and thereafter the Committee submitted a comprehensive confidential report to the Indian Nursing Council.
According to Vice Chancellor, BGSBU, Prof Javed Musarrat, admissions for the B Sc Nursing programme shall begin in second week of May 2016 and the class work shall start in August 2016.
