NYK trains youth in leadership, community development

KARGIL, Dec 29: Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) organized a three-day youth leadership and community development training here.
The valedictory function was held today and was graced by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kargil Ghulam Mohidin Wani as chief guest along with a galaxy of dignitaries including Incharge Sports Authority of India Training Centre Kargil, Gh. Mustafa and Taekwondo Coach, Ali.
The ADC in his concluding remarks appreciated the effort of NYK Kargil in organizing such a youth-oriented programme and felicitated the participants with certificates.
Objective of the training was to train youth in personality development.
It focused to impart training on fundamental life skills-interpersonal skills, empathy and leadership skills so that the participating youth are empowered to own responsibility and take lead and contribute towards community and social development activities.
Resource persons from various backgrounds were invited to enlighten the youth about agriculture, health, social activism, career counselling, motivational speaking etc.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks by District Youth Officer, NYK Kargil, Jigmat Spaldon.
