JAMMU, Sept 23: All J&K OBC Maha Sabha Jammu has expressed its reservations over re-organization of Jammu Kashmir State into two Union Territories and thus lowering the status of J&K state.
In a meeting of the Sabha, held under the chairmanship of Bansi Lal Tadyal, the participants discussed the problems which may be faced in the Union Territory and in absence of the special status.
Tidyal said that J&K Reorganization is an eye wash for the people of OBC, who have not been accorded 27 percent reservation as per Mandal Commission whereas EWS from Upper Castes have been extended 10 percent quota without any demand for the same.
The meet demanded that the word OSC should be replaced with OBC in the clause for reservation.
The meeting was also addressed by Madan Lal Chalotra, Kasturi Lal Basotra, Rakesh Verma, Raj Kumar and others.
