JAMMU, Mar 2: OBC Mahasabha, Shakti Nagar-Rajpura unit is going to take out Mashaal rally on March 5 at Gurah Morh, Bakshi Nagar to highlight the long pending demands of OBC Mahasabha.
The decision to hold the rally was taken in a meeting Mahasabha held here under the chairmanship of Sansar Chand, unit president. Kasturi Lal Basotra, president All J&K Sain Samaj was the chief guest while Jagdish Raj Pandey, president OBC Mahasabha Jammu-Poonch constituency was the guest of honour.
The speakers criticized the State Government for creating artificial group of Backward Classes under the garb of ‘Backward Area’ only to give undue benefit of 23% vertical reservation to the kith and kin of State rulers at the cost of real OBCs who stand identified by Mandal Commission for J&K State.
Others who spoke in the core group meeting included Manohar Lal Tidyal, Ajit Kumar Kashyap, Mohan Lal Pawar, Romesh Kumar, Raj Kumar, Sukhdev, Ashok Kumar, Darshan Kumar, Rajinder Kumar Verma, Sanjay Kumar, Bodh Raj, Vijay Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Om Parkash etc.
