JAMMU, Aug 11: A meeting of All J&K OBC people was held here today where the demand of 27 per cent reservation was raised.
Speakers in the meeting said, while in all other Union Territories of the country reservation for OBCs is 27 per cent why J&K Union Territory (UT) is denied of this provision as same reservation here is 2 per cent.
They also demanded that OBCs of J&K should be put under National Commission for Backward Classes.
R.L Chargotra, Charanjeet Chargotra, Joginder Angotra, Shukul Salgotra and others were also present in the meeting.
