SAMBA, May 18:  All India Backward Classes Union  (Social) has claimed that OBCs have resolved to oust NC and Congress in the forthcoming Assembly elections for their anti-OBC community attitude.
Addressing one-day convention of the OBCs at Vijaypur today, the senior leaders of the Union congratulated the State OBC members for defeating Congress and National Conference in a magic show in just concluded Lok Sabha elections. They pointed out that the State Government ignored the Mandal Commission recommendations despite the apex court directions regarding 27 % reservation to the OBCs.  The RBA category has been provided 20 %   but the OBCs have been ignored for the last 22 years. It is being done under the misuse of Art 370.
They further alleged that  State rulers have cheated the OBCs  by alluring them on the name of State OBC Advisory  and Development Board which was  set up in February 2010. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah as Chairman and Kuldip Verma as vice  chairman both failed to deliver justice to the community members. The Backward Commission has been converted into RBA Commission in which non-OBC members have been appointed to stop the flow of justice to them.
These members claimed that OBCs have now decided to oust Congress and NC members in the forthcoming Assembly elections as both the parties have worked against the interests of the OBCs. They appealed the OBCs to shun such anti-OBC political parties who use Art 370 even against the state subjects aiming only to maintain their dynastic rule. They also condemned the new recruitment policy of the NC-Cong regime in which just Rs 3000 is given in first two years and then Rs 5000 next three years but on the other hand salaries of MLAs/MLCs have given a whopping hike.
Prominent among those present in the meeting included Santokh Chand, Swarn Singh, T R Changotra, S Rajinder Singh, Master Sain Dass, Raj Kumar, Bishan Dass, Ludha Mani  and Prof M N Qureshi.
