RAJOURI, Mar 5: Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Abdul Ghani Kohli took part in a large awareness rally organized at Panchayat Seeri in Nowshera constituency, here today.
The rally was aimed at creating awareness among rural population about various central and state sponsored schemes launched by the Government for growth and development of rural, far flung areas in the state.
During the rally, the Minister interacted with the people and said that the motive behind organizing this rally is to educate local population about various initiatives launched by Central and State Governments for the development of rural areas and about the welfare schemes launched for farmers, like PM Fasal Bima Yojana besides various recruitment drives launched for border youths.
He said that many developmental activities have been initiated in rural areas besides many incentives have been started for farmers, as they are totally dependent on agriculture crop for their survival, adding that the schemes launched will lead to doubling the income of farmers in next few years, which will be a major benefit to rural population.
