Of ReT teachers

Sir,
It has reference to article ” Screening Test of ReT” published in DE in 24th August 2015. The author has highlighted the issue at right time and discussed the  contributions of ReTs during the past 15 years. On one hand, ReTs are giving their valuable services who are qualified, hardworking, and efficient for their post, but on the other hand there are ReTs who merely passed in D-grade or obtained degrees in fake manner are spoiling the future of students who in turn are future of the  nation. It is good that state govt. is screening the ReTs. By this process undeserving candidates will be weeded out, but what about General Line teachers, they have not landed on earth from heaven. They have not passed any IAS level exam. They are also selected on the basis of merit. There are certain general line teachers who have many degrees but their caliber and intellectual level do not match with their degrees. Besides, Education Department promotes various class IV employees, lab assistants, clerical staff for the post of teacher. How a person serving at such post can teach so efficiently. Moreover SSB also recommends ex-serviceman as teachers who have only seen arm and ammunition in their life. Then why only ReTs are  headache. Its neither General Line teacher not ReT but its inner consciousness, hardwork, determination and strong desire to teach matters. In the end the method of selecting the teacher should be based on tests like CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) or TE (Teacher Eligibility Test) so that only deserving candidate  selected who will make strong pillars(students) for the society.
Yours etc….
