Admn issues guidelines for repatriation of employees from Ladakh

JAMMU, Apr 19: The UT Government has issued guidelines for repatriation of the employees from the Union Territory of Ladakh.
As per an order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) in this regard, that sought compliance from the Administrative Secretaries of Jammu and Kashmir, all the officers whose tenure has got completed, as per the policy issued by the GAD earlier on December 1, 2022, must be repatriated preferably within the next one month.
“Pending representations regarding repatriation on health grounds must be examined, and a clear view taken in this regard within the next one month. Timely decisions on representations under other categories concerning repatriation must also be taken without delay,” read an order referred to the Administrative Secretaries by the GAD
All Administrative Departments have also been directed to submit proposals for repatriation of their employees who have completed two years’ tenure in the Union Territory of Ladakh and propose suitable replacements as per the deputation guidelines within a week positively.
“All such cases have to be decided in the month of April only, in terms of Transfer Policy and Deputation Guidelines,” read the order.
The GAD has also directed the Administrative Secretaries that the representations received from the employees for repatriation from UT of Ladakh on health grounds must be examined within 15 days in consultation with the Health and Medical Education Department, and a clear view/stand must be taken under an intimation to such representing officers/ employees.
The representations preferred by the employees for repatriation from the UT of Ladakh on other grounds shall also be decided expeditiously, and the decision must be conveyed to the concerned employees, the order further said.
Meanwhile, the Administrative Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department, has been requested to facilitate the conduct of a Special Standing Medical Board for all such cases referred in the third week of April, under an intimation to the concerned department. “This is to ensure that the cases are decided by the end of the month of April 2023,” read the order.
All the Administrative Secretaries have also been requested to take necessary action on the matter and ensure adherence to the timelines and provisions of the policy issued by the Government.
