JAMMU, Dec 15: The Governmen today accorded sanction to the establishment of Official Languages Section in the General Administration Department (GAD) with the creation of 12 new posts.
Official sources said that for translating important Statutory orders, Governor orders and other important Government documents, as may be desired by the authorities, into four other official languages of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir viz, Hindi, Kashmiri, Dogri and Urdu, this additional section has been created in the GAD.
For this, two posts of Translators in Hindi, Kashmiri, Dogri and Urdu; one post each for Editor- Hindi, Kashmiri, Dogri and Urdu have been created, which may be filled up on deputation basis from erstwhile J&K Legislative Council, Higher Education and Information Department.
