Oil Tanker Drivers’ Union celebrates foundation day of LPG wing

SAMBA, Mar 27:  To commemorate foundation day of its LPG wing, All Jammu and Kashmir Oil & LPG Tank, Truck  Drivers and Cleaners Union today organized a simple function here at IOCL LPG Plant in Bari Brahmana.
The program was presided over by Ranjit Singh, working president of the Union and attended by Mukul Singh and Amarjit Singh senior officers of the LPG bottling plant besides other members of the union.
While addressing the participant, Ranjit Singh said that the members of the Union supplied essential petroleum products to different parts of J&K and Ladakh region even during the peak of the Corona Pandemic forgetting the harsh weather, critical National Highway and risk to lives of drivers and cleaners during the Covid pandemic. He also reminded the Government about the selfless services rendered by their union to Armed forces and civilians in all critical situations without any break.
Harasis Singh, the founding president of the LPG Truck Drivers’ Union, acknowledged the support provided by oil companies to their Union, which he said, enabled the drivers to perform their duty without any hindrance.
Prominent members of the Union present on the occasion were Harmeet Singh, Paramjit Singh, Manjit Singh, Mumtaz Khan, Pawan Kumar and Hardev Singh.
