SAMBA, Apr 8: A major tragedy averted on Jammu Pathankot National Highway in Samba after an oil tanker carrying oil overturned on Road.
The tanker was overturned in the middle of the road near Chichi Mata Mandir, during which the driver was hurt, while the co-driver was rescued safely.
According to the information received, the said oil tanker was going from Samba towards Jammu when it suddenly went out of control and overturned.
As soon as the tanker overturned, oil started leaking from the tanker, due to which there was a fear of a major accident. The police reached the spot and took the injured driver to the district hospital Samba for treatment.
The injured driver has been identified as Sukha son of Abdul Rashid resident of Uttar Pradesh.
In this regard, the police have registered a case and started further action.
