POONCH, July 18: An old grenade was recovered in Poonch area today.
Official sources said that an old grenade was found on the rooftop of residential quarter of district hospital this evening.
CMO Poonch, Dr Zulfikar Chaudhary told that some children noticed old grenade while they were playing on the roof of residential quarter. Information was soon communicated to police through security guard of the quarter.
A major tragedy was averted by timingly information provided to the police, he said.
Soon a team of Police rushed to the spot and took the grenade in possession with utmost safety.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered in this regard and investigation launched.
