Old Janipur Civil Society raises demands

JAMMU, Nov 13: In its review meeting, Old Janipur Civil Society Development Action Committee discussed many issues of the area and asked the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha to intervene in getting these issues resolved.
Speakers in the meeting demanded repair of road and lights at High Court (Forest Road) at Old Janipur.
They also said that Mohalla Ram Vihar (Temple) opposite road needs blacktopping for a 20 meter remaining stretch and this Mohalla also needs sanitization and fogging regularly apart from installation of CCTV cameras as the cases of theft, bike lifting etc are on rise there.
Shed for performing last rites of deceased persons, watchman at the park, two gardeners, fountain pipe installation, plantation, centre park hut etc were among other demands raised in the meeting.
The Committee members said that JDA park in the area should be handed over to Floriculture Department and a branch of JK Bank should also be opened at Old Janipur.
They also said that authorities concerned should intervene as the people are being charged Rs. 30 per head at Ayushman Bharat Medical Insurance camp organised in Mohalla Ram Vihar dispensary and JDA park at old Janipur.
Kulwant Sambyal, Prabhudyal, Sandeep Parihar, Jagmohan Singh, Rajan Dhar, Anil Bhasin, Kuldip Billowaria, Sher Singh, Sandeep Sharma, Lokesh Singh, Rajat Sambyal, Randhir Singh, Rakesh Kaka, Sheel Abrol, Brig Mohan Singh, Ansh Jamwal and others were also present in the meeting.
