Old Janipur Committee lists demands

JAMMU, June 23: A meeting of members of Old Janipur People’s Development Action Committee was held here, today in which the demands of the area were discussed in detail.
The meeting demanded installation of music system fountain in the park of the area, appointment of watchman and installation of CCTV camera in the park. It also demanded repairing of the electric lights in the park, planting of green grass, installation of dust bins, making of proper sitting arrangements, digging of under ground water tank, appointment of two gardeners and beautification of the park.
It further demanded constructing of public bath rooms along with toilet complex and a shed for facilitating the public for performing the religious rites.
The meting discussed the problems of people of Ward No 35 Mohalla Ram Vihar also, and demanded laying of sewerage pipe, blacktopping of main Monalisa Showroom Lane, renovation of damaged drains and installation of electric lights in the area.
The meeting also demanded that the JDA Park should be handed over to Floriculture Department for its maintenance and upkeep, opening of J&K Bank branch at Old Janipur. The meeting also made an appeal to Governor, Satya Pal Malik to visit the area for at and on spot study of people’s problems.
Sandeep Parihar, Rakesh Jamwal, Harnam Singh, R N Sharma, Anil Bhasin, P K Bhat, Rajan Dhar, Deep Raj, Krishan Kumar, Kuldeep Singh, Kulwant Singh Sambyal, Dr Prabhu Dayal, Jagmohan Singh, Bansi Lal Bhat, Brij Mohan Singh, Vijay Kumar, Mohinder Kumar, Vicky Verma, Anoop Singh, Amrik Salathia, Ansh Jamwal, Sheel Abrol, Rajat Sambyal and others attended the meeting.
