JAMMU, Oct 20: Old Janipur People Development Committee here today expressed concern over the dilapidated condition of JDA Park in the locality.
In a meeting of the Committee, Social Activist, Kulwant Singh Sambyal said that fountain installed in the Public Park at Janipur has never functioned.
He also demanded a watchman to take care of the park and facilities like proper sitting arrangement, library, bathrooms etc.
Sambyal further demanded that the Park should be handed over to Floriculture Department for proper maintenance and care.
Other demands of the Committee included repair of the Nallah passing through Shant Nagar and opening of J&K Bank branch at Old Janipur near Power House.
More demands included repair and renovation of lanes, drains and proper street lights at Ram Vihar, Shant Nagar, Indira Nagar, Pandoka Colony, Hari Nagar etc.
Prabhu Dayal, Milap Singh, Jagmohan Singh, Rajan Dhar, Mohinder Kumar and others were also present in the meeting.
