Old Janipur inhabitants raise demands

JAMMU, Nov 9: Old Janipur Civil Society People Development Action Committee today highlighted its demands in a meeting held today at JDA park.
The meeting demanded construction of public bathrooms with toilet complex and a shed in the park to facilitate the public in performing religious rites. The members also demanded installation of gate in the park on the side of Mohalla Indra Vihar.
They also stressed on the need to make sitting arrangement in the park, repair of defective park lights, installation of fountain, installation of CCTV cameras, beautification of the park, shifting of electric transformer, appointment of 2 watchmen and 2 gardeners for the park.
The meeting also demanded that the JDA park be handed over to Floriculture Department for its maintenance and upkeep, opening of J&K Bank branch at Old Janipur and laying of sewerage pipes in Ward No 35 (Mohalla Ram Vihar), besides blacktopping of lane and repair of damaged drains.
