JAMMU, Jan 3: Under the banner of J&K Civil Society Old Janipur Action Committee, a meeting of residents of Janipur area was held to discuss local issues, particularly cleanliness of the area.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of social activist Kulwant Singh Sambyal who drew attention towards dumping of wastage material near the community hall at Mohalla Shant Nagar and repair of lanes, drains, non-functional street lights at Mohallas Ram Vihar, Indira Vihar, Pandoka Colony Shant Nagar, Kabir Nagar, Hari Nagar and adjoining areas of the JDA Park of Old Janipur.
The residents demanded installation of CCTV camera at the park, connected to Police Station and proper maintenance of the Park.
Those who attended the meeting, included Ravi Sharma, Uttam Singh, R L Bhat, Harnam Singh, Satpal, Ashwani Kumar, Sheel Abrol, Rajat Sambyal, Ashwani Puri, Sonu Kohli, Buty Ram Basnotra, Kuldeep Singh, Sanjay Kapoor, Sudesh, R.S Jamwal, Rakesh Kumar, Charan Dass, Rajan Dhar, Ashwani Sharma and others.
