RAJOURI, Aug 20: The Army defused an old and rusted live artillery shell which was recovered from a field in Chingus area of district Rajouri today.
Reports said that one Ravi Kumar hailing from Chingus area while ploughing in fields noticed an old live shell and ran away in panic. He informed police and later the concerned police authorities contacted nearby Army unit. The Army experts rushed to the area and later defused the live shell. It was believed that this live shell must have been lying there since 1965 or 1971 Indo-Pak war.
