JAMMU, July 12: The body of an old man was found today from a mini-canal in Sarrora area falling under the limits of police station Domana.
According to a police spokesperson, an old man identified as Des Raj (78) son of late Lal Chand, a resident of Sarrora, who was missing since last night after he left his house to feed his cattle which was tied at some distance from his house, was found this morning from a mini-canal near his residence.
He said no injury mark was found on the body of the deceased, which was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites after conducting post mortem at Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
In this connection, a case under relevant sections has been registered at police station Domana and further investigations started.
